Simten Home

Since first opening our doors in 2018 we have rarely paused for breath, taking on and delivering a flow of challenging and ambitious projects. Our original website – the bright-eyed manifesto characteristic of a start-up – had become rather frozen in time. It was gently suggested to us that it perhaps no longer reflected the maturing and accomplished business it spoke for, nor the growing breadth and experience of its team. We agreed, and began considering how to convey the progression from the firm we launched to the one we are today. The ensuing process of collective self-examination was instructive, cathartic, and occasionally animated.

We have also consistently and fervently advocated sustainability, striving to reduce our developments’ embodied carbon. Incorporating sustainable principles early in our planning to complement each development’s form, function, and commercial aims, we are proud to have displaced thousands of tons of CO2 across the UK’s cities.

Within our team we have sought to develop a shared culture and values that place integrity, empowerment and constant learning at their heart. The projects we undertake are often measured in years, during which plans must sometimes adapt to changing circumstances. These occasions can be revealing on both sides. We believe that our navigation of such moments - our pragmatism, transparency and imagination - has helped establish the trust upon which longer-term client relationships have been built. We also hope that, by speaking to these values on our website, we might spark the interest of other like-minded professionals who may be keen to work with us on future projects.

As an evolving, thriving business with a distinct vision, a diverse body of significant work, and a restlessness to explore the opportunities ahead, the time was right for a visual makeover.

We believe our website now provides the proverbial ‘cover’ by which the Simten book can be fully and fairly judged. And of course, were it not for our committed and talented team our new website would have no story to tell. Our sincere and heartfelt thanks to you all!
